West Virginia Parent Training and Information, Inc. (WVPTI) is a non-profit agency that operates the statewide federally funded Parent Training and Information Center for West Virginia.
The programs and services of WVPTI are based on the concept of parents helping parents. Our mission is to empower parents of children and youth with disabilities in their roles as parents, decision makers, and advocates for their children and to promote partnerships among parents and professionals.
We hope your visit here will provide timely information and to link you with other resources in WV and the nation. Our goal is to make a positive difference in the lives of infants, toddlers, children and young adults with disabilities and their families who live in Wild, Wonderful West Virginia.
If you are not familiar with WVPTI and your first contact with us is online: We would be pleased to hear from you! Please let us know what your needs and questions are, we will be more than happy to help.
WVPTI was established in 1991 from a grant from the United States Department of Education, Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services. Parents and others who have received our services value our knowledge, experience, information and services delivered by parents "who have been there".
